Day Zero

Today I closed down two old blogs and started this new one. I will miss the old guys but it feels great to have a blank canvas.

So why call it Storm in a Teacup?

What I like most about this idiom is its universal appeal, there are as many as 30 variations on the idiom Storm in a Teacup from Arabic through Turkish and its origins in English can be traced back to the 18th century. However, the phrase is believed to be much older and Cicero is credited with saying  “Excitabat enim fluctus in simpulo”.  Which translated reads as “He was stirring up waves in a ladle”.

Universal Appeal – a worthy goal for a blog.
